A while back on an episode of Tech Hijack, I made a comment about an iPad mini. Could this really be happening though? I believed then and now that Apple is going to make a move to produce a smaller iPad or rebrand the iPod touch as iPad mini. The current iPad and iPod touch are technically the exact same device the way it is. To me it makes more sense to rebrand, but we all know apple, they don’t always do what makes sense.
If an iPad mini is made though, what would the size be? Just slightly smaller than the current iPad? I believe it would be half the size of the current iPad. It would make the device portable and usable, and could also be a huge selling feature for those that don’t want a huge iPad.
Of course, all this is just speculation. We wont know until the Apple event in September. But it is fun just to think that this iPad mini could happen.
