Pixelpipe woes with Android app

I post a lot of photo’s from my HTC EVO. I also post to several social media sites. One thing that helps with all that is a service called PixelPipe. PixelPipe allows you to send a text or media message once, and then it distributes your content among all of your social sites like Twitter, Facebook, Brightkite, Flickr, etc.

Recently thought, the PixelPipe Android app has been having a few issues. When posting a photo through mobile data (3G or 4G) the photo and media posts just fine. However, when trying to post media through a wifi connection, the media becomes distorted. This becomes very frustrating and a big issue for me personally.

This was uploaded from HTC EVO over a 3G connection

This photo was uploaded via WiFi.

This result is consistent to every post made. But who wants to spend all their time on the mobile network when there is wifi around that is faster? I get this on all WiFi posts too be it at home, or at a store offering WiFi. When I asked PixelPipe on twitter about it, this is what they had to say:

We can only hope that this bug gets figured out soon. I love the service, but this makes it unreliable to me. For all I know, this is a bug that is only associated with Froyo 2.2 on Android. If you use PixelPipe on Android, let us know what you think, and if you are running into any issues.

We’re working with HTC to determine the cause of this issue with Evo users that update to 2.2. We might ask you to do a couple of things to help us out since the issue is only effecting a few users & we can’t duplicate the issue on our Evo.

As a first step could you reboot your phone & let us know if that resolves your issue? Also if you could look under Settings/About phone & send us your hardware version to contact@pixelpipe.com.

    Thanks!
